Windsong Stable Adds Ready Cash Mare to Broodmare Band
October 24 - Windsong Stable is branching out to incorporate French bloodlines in our broodmare band. We just acquired IS A PEARL, a 4 year old race mare by the great Ready Cash out of the Workaholic dam Little Pearl. Is A Pearl has a victory at 2000m at Vincennes and earnings of 29,350 Euros. This was the shortest race of her career to date, having competed at distances of up to 2850 m. She is 1/2 sister to multiple G2 and G3 winner Risque Tout 1.12.5 (978,188 Euros). Her second dam is the renowned April Pearl, granddam of French leading sire Brillantissime 1.10.6 (958,375 Euros) and third dam of the immortal two time Prix d'Amerique and Breeders Crown winner Bold Eagle 1.08.4 (5,124,087 Euros).
Trainer Julie Miller will try to adapt Is A Pearl's talents to the shorter and faster US races before starting her broodmare career. Though her initial mating has year to be determined, we are considering Chapter Seven and Muscle Hill as the leading candidates.
